Tour Diary 2025: Chile, Argentina (Nightrain Exclusive)

Tour Diary 2025: Chile, Argentina (Nightrain Exclusive)

Hello again!

The Latin American tour has arrived in Brazil. At the time of the last email, we were in Chile and before we got here, we had a show in Santiago, Chile. That one was chilly. Temperatures dropped after sunset, but it looked like they didn't drop in the crowd. Full of energy. The band added Street Of Dreams and Madagascar to the setlist for this show. A nice surprise for the Chilean fans.

After Chile, we flew over the Andes for the shows in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The first night the band started the show a few minutes early. Human Being was played for the first time on this leg.

The following day, the second Buenos Aires show featured the South American premiere of The General! Two shows with amazing fans.

After the shows in Argentina, we headed to Brazil. The first of five dates in Brazil was outside of Florianopolis in Santa Catarina. And because it was the first Brazilian show on this leg, the fans got to hear songs that have never been played in Brazil. Perhaps, Prostitute and The General were all played for the first time ever in Brazil at this show.

Did you know Pretty Tied Up hadn't been played in Brazil since the first Brazilian shows GN'R did back at Rock In Rio in January 1991?

We still have a few shows left on this leg. Including a new city and state for GN'R. But more on that later…

Tour Diary 2025: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Colombia (Nightrain Exclusive)

Hello from Santiago, Chile!

This is the fifth stop on the Latin American leg of the Because What You Want N' What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things tour.

We started this Latin American leg in San Jose, Costa Rica. The band and crew spent a few days in the capital preparing for the tour and the Costa Rican show.

The fans in Costa Rica got rained on during the show but that didn't seem to dampen their excitement to have GN'R back in their country for the first time since 2016.

After the tour kick off show, the band headed to El Salvador for a show in San Salvador. Some of you might know that GN'R played here in 2010, but this was the first time the line up with Axl, Duff and Slash played in the country.

The occasion was made even more special by the band playing Dead Horse for the first time since the Wembley Stadium show back in June!

After the two Central American shows, the tour headed to South America for a pair of shows in Colombia. Bogota and Medellin to be precise.

The Bogota show saw the band play Prostitute for the first time ever in South America. From there the tour continues to Medellin. A place GN'R last played back in 2016. The dark clouds started gathering at soundcheck and it started pouring down. The rain didn't stop until a few songs were left of the three hour show. Again, the GN'R fans braved the elements.

Now we are back in Santiago, Chile. From here the tour will continue to Argentina next.

Tour Diary 2025: Austria, Luxembourg, Germany (Nightrain Exclusive)

Tour Diary 2025: Austria, Luxembourg, Germany (Nightrain Exclusive)

Well, well, well.... Nightrain members, it's the end of the European tour... As well as the first leg of the Because What You Want N' What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things tour!

After the heat in Sofia, we headed to the beautiful city of Vienna, Austria for a show at the Ernst Happel Stadion. We had two opening acts with us. Wolfmother and The Sex Pistols Featuring Frank Carter. The latter had to wait for the bad weather to pass before they could start their set. The weather sure changed compared to Sofia.

Axl dedicated the show to Ozzy Osbourne and the band played two Black Sabbath songs. From Austria, the tour headed to a new country, Luxembourg. Another outdoor show, this time without rain!

One more overnight bus ride for the crew, and we arrived in Hamburg, Germany for the last show on this leg. Speaking of Hamburg, did you know GN'R haven't played Hamburg since their first European tour back in 1987?

They didn't play in the city this time either, but they were headlining the Thursday night at the Wacken Open Air festival's Harder stage. The festival is held in the country side outside of Hamburg.

Some rain on Wednesday turned the fields into muddy festival grounds. Fortunately there was less rain on show day.

Guns N' Roses finished this leg of the tour with a festival show that was over three hours long!

30 shows over three months in Asia, the Middle East amd Europe. Plus one appearance at Ozzy's final show in Birmingham, UK on July 5th.

27 different countries visited. Five completely new countries where GN'R never played before (Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Georgia, Lithuania N' Luxembourg). Plus some where Axl, Duff and Slash never played together before, such as India, Serbia N' Bulgaria).

Hope you enjoyed this tour as much as we did. Now time for some rest before the band starts their next leg.

See you soon in Latin America!
